The Summer Solstice Show is produced by the Utah Arts Festival annually the week before its 4-day festival. This year, we are excited to welcome Neko Case to the Library Square Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 16, 2012.
Neko Case's release The Fox Confessor Brings the Flood brought her to the nexus where critical acclaim meets commercial success. The album landed on many "Best of" lists as well as #1 on Amazon.com's editors' picks and #2 on NPR's All Songs Considered.
Case's 2009 follow up Middle Cyclone debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts making it her first album to reach the top 10 in the United States. She was named "Female Artist of the Year" at the Independent Music Awards in 2009.
Neko Case's most recent musical contribution is the track "Nothing to Remember" on The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond. The album, produced by T Bone Burnett, hit #1 on iTunes.
Case is also known for her highly regarded work as a member of Canadian indie group The New Pornographers, as well as with Neko Case and Her Boyfriends, The Corn Sisters and The Sadies.
